- 3 oz semi sweet chocolate
- 2 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c soft butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-1/2 c plain yogurt (room temp)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Melt chocolate in top of double boiler. Set aside to cool.
- In large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
- Combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in separate bowl
- Stir cooled melted chocolate into yogurt. Add vanilla.
- Add flour mixture to butter mixture in several parts, alternately with yogurt mixture, beginning and ending with flour
- Stir in 1 c. chocolate chips
- Pour into greased and floured tube pan or two layer pans.
- Bake at 350, 45-50 minutes for tube, about 30 minutes for layers (you'll have to check on the layers, I'm not sure exactly about the time)
- Let cool about 30 minutes before turning out onto plate.
- 6 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 2 c unsalted butter
- 6 oz melted bittersweet chocolate, cooled
