- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups mixed nuts
- Pre-heat oven to 375.
- In a medium saucepan, over moderately low heat, combine all ingredients except nuts. Cook, stirring frequently, until butter and sugar melt completely, about 2-3 minutes. Add nuts and toss well to combine.
- Spread nuts on large rimmed baking sheet (I usually cover baking sheet with foil first). Bake, stirring after 7 minutes, until golden and fragrant, about 12-15 minutes. Cool in pan on rack.
Note: Nuts can be made up to 3 days ahead. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
